【FAQs】

Q1: How does the device work?
A: Connect to TV with HDMI interface. To watch Free to air TV channels, an OTA terrestrial signal antenna was needed.

Q2: Will this box work with no antenna?
A: Yes. If you don't have any TV antenna, you can use this device as a smart TV box, connect to WiFi or network cable, download various APPs to watch videos, play games, or surf the Internet, etc.

Q3: Why can't i see the channels?/How many programs can be watched?
A: The box supports watching all ATSC 1.0/ATSC 3.0 programs. It depends on the local TV signal reception range in your area, and the types or angles of the antennas. Please contact the seller for details.

Q4: I was buying it as an OTA DVR, how could i get it to work?
A: We have prepared video tutorials, please contact the seller if needed.

Q5: Why can't I watch the YouTube, Netflix and other applications? Should i have to pay for the application?
A: You may need to update the firmware, please contact seller for tutorials. APP store supports install streaming apps for free, whether you need to pay depends on your personal account status and subscription needs.

Q6: Will it supports RCA output 4K display? 
A: No. Please note the RCA interface cannot support 4K resolution, due to limited by analog signals and bandwidth.
X1 is a 4K UHD streaming box, upgrading to digital interfaces HDMI is the best solution for achieving 4K audio and video transmission.

Q7: Can this OTA and Internet based 4k streaming box(es) allow me to watch youtube and also record youtube medias (wired ethernet), beside recording OTA tv broadcast (ATSC)?
A: Since the APPs have not opened the API interface, the box cannot directly call the DVR function through it. 
Please note that this GTMedia X1 tv box supports DVR recording OTA tv broadcast (ATSC3.0/1.0) only, not including any streaming app record.
This X1 box supports recording 5 OTA program at the same time.

Q8: Can it work with a ***(brand) TV card? Do you also sell a card or account? 
A: No. Specific branded TV card was not supported. We do not provide or sell any accounts or TV cards.
